Pastor's Update

  Pastor's Update

Rev. David Hoffman
Senior Pastor
Greetings in the name of our Lord!
Faith UMC will have our in-person Worship Service on Easter Day, Sunday, April 4, 2021. If you are feeling well and not running a temperature, we'd love to have you come and worship with us. Please wear a mask and observe safe distancing guidelines. Holy Communion will be observed and served in individually wrapped containers. We will refrain from shaking hands and exchanging hugs. (That will be difficult).

Our Worship Service is on Facebook. Use your iPhone or your computer and join us Sunday at 10am. If you are not able to worship at that time, you can go to our Facebook any time after 10am and find our service. We are following our Governor's and our Bishop's guidelines and hoping to have all of this behind us soon. We hope to meet you soon.

Welcome to the new Website of Faith United Methodist Church. Great things are happening on the corner of W. Markham and Ellis. If you are looking for a medium sized church with friendly folks, you might enjoy visiting with us. We are a one level facility, parking is available near our entrances, and a pew has been fluffed for you. (By the way, our pew cushions are brand new and are available for occupancy).

Our newest ministry is to provide Braille bulletins and song sheets for the visually impaired. Please call the church on Mon. or Tues. and let us know that you intend to attend on Sunday. It will help us prepare material in a timely manner.

Another special ministry includes a T-coil loop system for the hearing impaired. This has provided much pleasure to some of our members. Extras are available for guests who might need a hearing device to make the service more enjoyable. Just mention to an usher or greeter that you would like assistance.

We are open and ready for business, so visit us any Sunday and enjoy our traditional service at 11:00 a.m.  Our Sunday School Classes meet at 9:45 a.m., so come early for donuts and coffee in Fellowship Hall.

In October we will again have our fantastic "Fall Festival". Watch for more information on this. It was a BLAST last year! We are so looking forward to another great event.

Drop in any Sunday and see the wonderful things we are doing for others. Do you have the desire to help? We can certainly find a place for you to be a blessing to others. Isn't that what life is all about!

We collect items for disasters, for the hungry, and for Methodist Family Health. These are our ongoing missions. We do care and enjoy giving when ever possible.
